Jimmy Detrixhe Memorial Scholar Athlete Award
We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Jimmy Detrixhe Memorial Scholar-Athlete Award. This award will recognize a deserving Senior or Post-Graduate National Prep Qualifier, boy or girl, who demonstrates excellence in academics and athletics.
Named in honor of Jimmy Detrixhe, a Bethlehem native, Hill School graduate, Lehigh University wrestler, and US Army Captain who gave his life in service during the Vietnam War,
This award emphasizes the balance between academic and athletic achievement central to all National Prep member institutions.

Eligibility: Senior or Post-Graduate National Prep Qualifier

Selection: Each region submits one candidate; a subcommittee will then select the awardee.

Criteria: Strong grades/test scores, leadership, school/community contributions, excellence in academic extracurriculars, character, and integrity.
Nomination Process:

Please submit your candidate via this Google Form by February 14th at noon.
Timeline:

Feb 10-14 (noon): Nomination period

Feb 14-15: Zone voting (after qualifying tournaments)

Feb 16 (4 pm): Deadline for finalist submission

Feb 16-18: Committee voting

Feb 21: Award presentation (before opening round)
